The AUD $50 rate applies to a standard, clear mainland-China bank statement page. The order form calculates the total as AUD $50 multiplied by the number of source pages. Statements with dense transaction tables, handwriting, poor image quality or unusual formatting require a written quote before payment.
The certified PDF is included. If you need a printed copy, tell us before work begins so the hardcopy arrangement, postage cost and expected delivery can be confirmed in writing.
When an English translation may be requested
Visa, skilled migration or student evidence
Bank statements are not required for every Australian visa or student application. If your Home Affairs checklist, ImmiAccount request, education provider or authorised adviser asks for funds, income, employment-payment or transaction evidence, non-English supporting documents should be supplied with the required English translation.
Mortgage and lending review
An Australian lender or mortgage broker may ask for English versions of overseas statements when reviewing income, savings, deposits or source of funds. The lender decides the statement period, pages and supporting evidence it needs.
Accounting, legal or court review
An accountant, lawyer, conveyancer, court or another named reviewer may request a translated transaction record, account certificate or balance document. Tell us the receiving organisation and purpose so the translation can follow the confirmed scope.
What the translation covers
Depending on the source document, the English translation can cover:
- bank and branch name;
- account holder name and account identifiers shown on the source;
- statement period, transaction dates and descriptions;
- debits, credits, balances, currency and totals;
- headings, notes, stamps and other relevant text on the submitted pages.
Translation does not convert currency, verify account ownership, audit the transactions or prove the source of funds. Those decisions remain with the lender, government body or other receiving organisation.
What to send
- A complete, clear PDF or colour scan of every page you want translated.
- The account holder’s English name exactly as it appears in their passport, where name consistency matters.
- The receiving organisation, intended use and deadline.
- Any written checklist or request that states the required statement period or supporting documents.
- Your PDF or hardcopy preference.
Do not send unrelated financial records. If you redact information, first confirm that the receiving organisation allows it; we translate only what remains visible on the submitted source.
How to order
- For standard pages, upload the complete bank statement, enter the source-page count and tell us who will receive it.
- The form shows the total as AUD $50 multiplied by the source-page count. Check the total before paying by card.
- After payment, the document is translated by the appropriate NAATI-certified translator and the certified PDF is sent to your email.

Do I need every page translated?
Follow the receiving organisation’s written request. If it asks for a full statement period or complete document, send all relevant pages. Selective translation can remove transaction context, so confirm any proposed omission with the receiving organisation first.
Does every visa or student application require bank statements?
No. The required evidence depends on the application and the applicant’s checklist. This service is suitable when your checklist or written request asks for bank, funds, income or payment evidence and the source document is not in English.
Can I send a PDF or scan instead of the paper original?
A complete, legible PDF or colour scan can be used to assess and translate the document. Whether the receiving organisation also requires an original, certified copy or another form of evidence is a separate submission requirement.
Does the translation convert RMB into Australian dollars?
No. The translation preserves the currencies and amounts shown in the source document. Currency conversion, lending assessment and source-of-funds review are outside the translation service.
Is a NAATI translation the same as notarisation?
No. A NAATI-certified translation, a certified copy, notarisation and DFAT legalisation are different services. Use the process named in the receiving organisation’s instructions.
